Animation Research

                1.  Squash and stretch When you use the principle of squash and stretch it allows the animated object or character to look as if gravity is pulling it down. It creates flexibility in the animation and is one of the first steps to bring your character to life. However, it can only look believable if you keep the size of the object the same so it looks the same weight as it did originally. Childhood Full of Sadness and Miracles  When Anning was only 15 months, while she was being held by a neighbour, standing with two other women underneath a tree while watching an equestrian show, lightning stoke the tree and killed three women- there was only one survivor- Mary Anning. After this tragic event, it became a local myth and many believed that Mary Anning's survival was a miracle. Before this incident, Mary was an incredibly ill baby but after this tragedy, she became stronger and flourished. Initial Research for Mary Anning

Career  Mary Anning is largely known globally for her important finds she made in geology and biology. Her main discoveries were based around the cliffs at Lyme Regis in Dorset. These cliffs are known for being one of the most richest fossil locations in Britain. Mary Anning regularly visited this site and would collect common finds such as "curios" and fossils to sell to tourists to aid her career. Lyme Regis fossils - LymeRegis.org However, the risks were high in her profession as the cliffs in Lyme Regis, specifically Blue Lias, were incredibly unstable and dangerous especially during the winter. this was illustrated when Anning was virtually almost killed from a landslide that buried her dog, a close companion to her which Anning took along with her to every fossil site she visited.
