Different vignette designs
This was a quick sketch as an example of one of my designs for a vignette. I will be adding prints of fossils to the final design of the vignette however I just wanted to experiment with where to position the ichthyosaur fossil. Although I think the drawing would be a good idea for the finished piece I don't like the shape of the background. If I was to do this again I would make it more circular.
I re-did the first drawing and made it circular like I said and I think this outcome looks a lot more put together than the previous one. With prints and paintings in the middle I think this could be a strong design for a vignette.
Like the first design for the vignette I started off with this very quick sketch of the above ground landscape circular. Although this design could turn out okay, I don't think its the right feeling for the beach. I want this vignette to look atmospheric and calming whereas this design looks like its been cropped.
So, I did a very quick sketch of a rectangular vignette could look like and overall, with added detail and definition, this is definitely the design I will be expanding on and experimenting more with.
